Excellent: Almost like new.

 

A beautiful book! The book contains memories from his travels and tournaments, and approximately thirty games (also some position), some of them (approximately one third) widely commented. Excellent report with 16 photographs in black and white, and 67 in color.

"Milan Draško (born December 6, 1962 in Čapljin) - Montenegrin chess player, grandmaster since 1993.

 

He began to achieve his first international successes in the mid-1980s. In 1984, he shared the 2nd place (after Alexander Czernin in the Tatran Cup tournament in Stary Smokovec, and in 1985 he shared the 3rd place in Tallinn (after Sergei Dołmatow and Gennady Kuźmin, together with Wiktor Gawrikow, Aleksander Koczijew and Mikhail Tal). In 1988 he took the 3rd place (after Aleksander Czernin and Aleksander Goldin) in the Memorial of Akiba Rubinstein in Polanica-Zdrój, in 1991 he shared the 2nd place (after Waleri Łoginow, together with József Horváth) in Budapest, in 1993 he won the Open Tournament in Stiga and triumphed (together with Feliks Lewin) in Podgorica. In 1996 he won the bronze medal of the individual Yugoslavia Championship in Podgorica, while in 2001 he shared the 3rd place (after Aleksander Dełczew and Andrej Sokołow, and with Vyacheslav Eingorn, Alexandre Dgebuadze and Jean-Marek Degraeve) in the open tournament in Metz. In 2002 he shared the 2nd place (after Władimir Jepiszyn) in Arco, in 2003 he repeated this achievement in Lido degli Estensi (after Artur Kogan, along with, among others, Igor Efimow and Mišo Cebalo), in 2004 he was among the five winners of the Open in Bošnjaci, he also shared the 1st place (together with Thomas Luther and Jacob Aagaard) in Arco. In 2005 he shared the 2nd place (after Igor Miladinovic) in Cutro, in 2006 he won (together with Bojan Vuckovic) in the Bar, while in 2007 he shared the 1st place (together with Suat Atalık) in Sarajevo. In 2008, he shared the 2nd place in Bled (after Evgeni Swiesznikow, together with Marko Tratar, Luka Lenič and Mate Sebenik).

 

He has repeatedly represented Yugoslavia and Croatia in team tournaments, including:


- four times at Chess Olympiads (in 1994, 2008, 2010, 2012)

 

- four times at the European Team Championships (in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013)

 

- three times at the Balkan team championships (in 1985, 1986, 1994); three-time medalist: together with the team - gold (1985) and twice silver (1986, 1994)

 

- the Tournament for the Cup Mitropa (Mitropa Cup) (in 1984); medalist: together with the team - silver (1984).

 

He reached the highest ranking in his career so far on October 1, 2007, with the result of 2557 points taking 1st place among Montenegrin chess players."
