5 carbon copies of scoresheets

against strong players, from 1943-1947

 

The scoresheet are in Czech, all signed by both players, all of them are carbon copies (both text and signatures).

1) Pithart – Hruska, Praha 20. 8. 1943, Czech championship, the main tournament, 0:1

2) Alster – Pithart, probably Rakovnik, 16. 4. 1944, match Rakovnik – Roudnice, 0:1

3) Pithart – Rosenblatt, Ostrava 19. 8. 1946, Czech championship, the main tournament, a draw in 53 moves

4) Pithart – Dobias, Praha 29. 11. 1947, Kautsky memorial, 1:0

5) Pithart – Richter, Praha 11. 12. 1947, Prague championship, 0:1

Size: ca 23-24 cm.

Good:  some general signs of use.

Biographical data:

Frantisek Pithart (1915-2003), Czech master (since 1951) and noted trainer. One of the best Czech players after wws. He participated in the finals of Czechoslovak championships many times. He took part in the chess olympiad Helsinki 1952 and in European team chamionship 1957. Author of many books and articles.

Alois Hruska, local Prague player.

Ladislav Alster (1927-1991), Czechoslovak champion in 1956, a member of team which won world student championship in Oslo 1954, took part in chess olympiad Moscow 1956.

Ervin Rosenblatt (1906 - 1990),  Czech player and organizer. He was a founder of the chess store on Wencel Square in Prague and its manager in 1950-1970.

Josef Dobias (1886-1981), Czech master (since 1911), in 1920s one of editors of the main Czech magazine Casopis ceskoslovenskych sachistu.

Emil Richter (1894-1971), strong Czech master and trainer (Jansa), an expert on endgames.
