DESCRIPTION

"SÜDWESTFÄLISCHE SCHACHMEISTERSCHAFTEN"

HEMER 1970 (Program)

Not in Di Felice!!

Schachverband Südwestfalen: "1970 Südwestfälische Schachmeisterschaften in Hemer".

Hemer, Schachverband Südwestfalen, 1970. Original stapled softback edition. 32 unnumbered pages. 21,3 x 14,9 cm. In German.

Very good: No defect to mention, except for slight flaws on the covers, hardly noticeable, except for a wrinkle at the top of the front cover near the spine.

Not in Di Felice (Chess Competitions 1824-1970)!!

Very interesting program, mainly due to the historical record of the South Westphalian Chess Federation Championships. The most important content is:

- Presentation with a short biographical sketch of the 10 players and the Tournament Director.

- Crosstable hand-filled with blue ink, although it is not easy to understand. However, comparing the names of the Biographical Presentation with those written in the Crosstable, it is possible to give the complete classification of the Championship: 1st Rupp, 2nd Soennecken, 3rd Bachmann, 4th Ogrzall, 5th Weyrauch, 6th Walter, 7th Bukowski, 8th Weber, 9th Reinhardt and 10th Röttger. I have a little doubt between 6th and 8th, because 6th in writing seems more Walter than Weber, but 8th although it should be Weber in writing I do not recognize any of the 2. Perhaps Weber could not play and was replaced by another player. It is also possible to see, under the Crosstable, the Ranking of the Blitz Tournament with the first 3 classified.

- History of the Hemer Chess Club, created in 1932.

- List of all Champions of the South Westphalian Chess Federation from 1948 to 1969, in their three categories (in Blitz there was no Championship in 1948-1949).

- Chronicle of the 7 years of Youth Chess since 1963.

- List of Senior, Youth and U-14 Champions (under 14 years) of the city of Hemer since 1964 (U-14 since 1966).
