Marco Georg, Schlechter Carl. Internationale Schachmeisterturnier in Karlsbad 1907. Eine Sammlung der 210 Partien des Turniers mit ausführlichen Erläuterungen. Wiener Schachzeitung, (1908). In German. VII + 426 pages. 4 plates with photos (Tietz, Maroczy, Rubinstein, group photo). LN 5284.

The first of the famous Carlsbad tournaments and the first international tournament on Czech soil. Contains all 210 games from the tournament with annotations. The winner was Rubinstein ahead of Maroczy. The last tournament of Mikhail Chigorin. Doctors in Carlsbad diagnosed him with severe and incurable diabetes with a prognosis of the last few months of his life.

Condition - Good Minus: private half-cloth binding with sticker on spine, book block strengthened with linen strips. Internally somewhat browned, with some red pencil annotations and somewhat tightly trimmed at the top. Few pages with repaired defects.
