"L'ÉCHIQUIER DE PARIS". REVUE FRANÇAISE BIMESTRIELLE D'ECHECS. 1952. 7e ANNÉE. Numéro 37 Janvier-Février 1952 - Numéro 42 Novembre-Décembre 1952 (6 double numbers).
Paris, L'Échiquier de Paris, 1952. Private green hardback edition with gold Title on spine. IV unnumbered Index pages + 172 pages (bound with covers including in pagination). 27 x 21 cm. In French.
Good: Some very light staining or rubbing on the binding, with an erosion (looks like an erasure) on the underside of the spine. Old copy from the Brooklyn Public Library, with Exlibris by L. Wajers. Brooklyn Public Library notations on the inside front cover as well as on the last slip page, and a number stamped in blue ink on the bottom outside corner of the back cover of issue 42. Some pages have a fold in the upper outer corner (I assume a former owner or reader used it as a bookmark), producing a very visible crease on pages 107-120, and a small loss of paper (just at the mentioned corner) without affecting the text on the pages 115-116. Some slight wrinkles on some pages and some light general browning. Inside pages are clean and with no writings.
L/N 6042; Di Felice 857; Kieler Schachkatalog 114 (but only numbers 45-55 of 1953-1955).
