"Chess Review, 1950" edited by I.A. Horowitz. Published in maroon hardback. 384 large pages. First Edition. Betts 7-76. All twelve issues of "Chess Review" for the calendar year of 1950. Volume 18. Includes index. The volume is in Good overall condition for its age. The binding is good (not "tight" as there is some movement to the spine). The boards have no bowing but are dusty and faded looking. The tips of the boards and the head & tail of the spine are exposed (see scans). The spine area is faded and discoloured. If I was grading the boards and binding alone, I would rate them as only being in Fair condition. However, there are also 12 magazines to consider. These magazines are in Good Plus condition for their age. The covers are bound in and, as far as I can tell, all the magazines are inscription, annotation and foxing free. The page edge blocks are evenly tanned from age (the top edge is dusty, as often seen). The magazines show normal signs of handling such as the occasional light crease but they are all presentable and clean. Games are given in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Standard airmail postage (see An Post.com website for prices) based on book weight (approx.1.27kg, unpackaged) will be used unless the winning bidder requires signature on delivery or insurance, etc. Any questions, please just ask.
PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOW BASED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND AND, THEREFORE, ALL SALES TO EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS (APART FROM GB) WILL BE IN EUROS AND SHIPPED DIRECT EU - EU (THUS AVOIDING ANY BREXIT POSTAL TAXES). CUSTOMERS IN THE GB AREA CAN STILL AVAIL OF SHIPPING DIRECT GB - GB AS I CAN SHIP FROM NORTHERN IRELAND, ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT DELAY IN POSTING. CUSTOMERS IN THE USA AND THE RoW WILL HAVE THEIR ORDER SHIPPED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND.
