"500 Master Games of Chess, Books 2 and 3: Semi-Open and Closed Games" by S. Tartakower and J. du Mont. Published in hardback by George Bell & Sons in 1952. First Edition. Approx.385pp. Betts 24-72. The book is in Very Good condition for its age. The binding is good (not "tight" as there is a some movement to the spine) and the boards are clean with no shelf lean or bowing present. The gilt lettering on the spine has faded but is still readable. The page edge blocks are lightly and evenly tanned from age (the top edge block is darkened, as usual). Internally the volume is in very clean and unmarked condition. It appears to be inscription, annotation and foxing free. The dustjacket is in Good Plus condition. It has small areas of loss to the head and tail of the spine plus scuffing and fading to note all along the spine area (see scans). The remainder of the dustjacket is clean and bright. It is price-clipped. The dustjacket is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Games are given in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Standard airmail postage (see An Post.com website for prices) based on book weight (approx.675g, unpackaged) will be used unless the winning bidder requires signature on delivery or insurance, etc. Any questions, please just ask.
