"The Australasian Chess Review, 1941" edited by Cecil Purdy. Published in hardback by the ACR in 1941. First Edition. 232pp. Includes index. Betts 7-70. All twelve issues of the ACR for the calendar year of 1941. Volume 13. The book is in Very Good condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The boards are clean with just a touch of sunning to note along the spine area. The page edge blocks are quite strongly tanned but this appears to be from age, not handling, as the tanning is even throughout. Internally the quality of paper available during WW2 is immediately apparent as the pages are quite strongly tanned throughout, particularly around the perimeters. See scans. I assume that any volume of ACR in this time period will be the same. Despite the page tanning all the pages are clean and unmarked apart from the very occasional speck stain, here and there, which is LESS than commensurate with age. The book is inscription, annotation and foxing free. Games and positions are given in English descriptive notation. Scarce. Seldom listed on LSAK. Further scanned images are available on request. Standard airmail postage (see An Post.com website for prices) based on book weight will be used unless the winning bidder requires signature on delivery or insurance, etc. Any questions, please just ask.
