Description

Pytel, Krzysztof. Akiba Rubinstein czyli o sztuce rozgrywania koncowek. Warszawa, IWZZ, 1987. In Polish. 144 pages.

The book contains three parts:

1. The Art of Endgame Play

2. In the Footsteps of the Great Akiba

3. Without Commentary (various statistics, etc.)

Among other things, interesting is the interview with Rubinstein's son Sammy on pages 69-71 and several photographed chess memorabilia from Rubinstein's estate, including the participant's card from the 2nd Polish Championship in 1927 (the only Polish championship Rubinstein participated in) or a scoresheet written in Rubinstein's hand from the game Rubinstein - O'Kelly, Brussels 1945.

Condition - Good or better: private cloth binding with a gold inscription on the spine. Several pages are browned. Sporadic soiling and creases.
