1. Volume: 1892-1921. Published 1992. 187 pages, 1 leaf. Includes Alekhine’s biography from 1892 to 1921, featuring 334 games and several photos (of lower quality). Also contains a summary of results, an index of opponents and openings. Original cloth binding with dust jacket.

2. Volume: 1921-1924. Published 1996. 458 pages, 4 plates with photos (in lower quality), supplement (3 leaves). Includes Alekhine’s biography from 1921 to 1924, featuring 362 games, index of opponents, index of openings and supplement “Rules and regulations for World’s Championship Matches” from the London Chess Congress 1922. Original hardcover. Signed by one of the authors – Czech chess historian Jan Kalendovsky – on the title page.

3. Volume: 1925-1927. Published 1998. 494 pages, 1 leaf, 8 plates with photos. Includes Alekhine’s biography from 1925 to 1927, featuring 297 games, index of opponents, index of openings, etc. Original hardcover. Signed by one of the authors – Czech chess historian Jan Kalendovsky – on the title page.

One of the most detailed works on the 4th World Champion. Unfortunately, the subsequent volumes covering the period 1928–1946 were never published.

Condition - Good to Very Good: only slight signs of use.
