An interesting biography of Emil Palkoska (1871–1955), a giant of Czech chess composition, written by his daughter Albina. At the end of the publication, there are 45 chess problems by Emil Palkoska with solutions.
Albina Wiesenbergerova-Palkoskova was a Czech journalist who was sentenced to 15 years for anti-state activities by the communist regime in 1949. She spent 11 years in prison. In 2001, she was awarded the Medal of Heroism by President Vaclav Havel.
