Vladislav Bunka (born 1937) is a Czech chess player and, above all, a chess composer. He has composed more than 1,000 problems across various genres. In 2017, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Czech Chess Federation.

The book was written and published in 2007 by his son Michal as a gift for his father's 70th birthday. In addition to a biographical interview, it includes selected chess problems and many mostly colour photographs printed on high-quality paper.
