This book about Bobby Fischer’s encounters with Czech chess players presents all 25 annotated games played by Czech grandmasters and masters against Fischer. All games by Vlastimil Hort, Lubomir Kavalek, and Ludek Pachman are accompanied by their own notes, while Miroslav Filip’s games are annotated by GM David Navara. The book includes a wealth of behind-the-scenes information - such as Hort’s and Kavalek’s memories of Fischer, David Navara’s article “What I Learned from Bobby Fischer,” and more. Supplemented with articles, numerous photographs, brief player profiles, and tables of Fischer’s tournaments in which Czech players participated. This second edition, compared to the first edition from 2010, has been revised and significantly expanded: it includes new texts from most of the book’s contributors, two new chapters, and the discovery of two more of Fischer’s opponents born in the Czech lands — Rudolf Pitschak and Walter Ader Hausman.

Condition - Very Good: like a new book.
