Exceptionnel lot issu de la collection personnelle du photographe hollandais Max van Bielsen. Il se compose de 77 photos inédites ou très peu connues prises durant les tournois de Wijk aan Zee, Tilburg, Groningen, etc., ainsi que de 54 autographes des plus grands joueurs - en particulier soviétiques - des années 50 à 70. Ami personnel de Boris Spassky, le photographe a rencontré plusieurs fois Bobby Fischer par son entremise, notamment lors du "match retour" en Yougoslavie en 1992. 2 autographes du légendaire champion américain accompagnent l'ensemble disposé dans une élégante boîte d'archives.

 

An exceptional item from the personal collection of Dutch photographer Max van Bielsen. It consists of 77 unpublished or little-known photos taken during tournaments in Wijk aan Zee, Tilburg, Groningen, etc., as well as 54 autographs from the greatest players—particularly Soviet players—from the 1950s to the 1970s. A personal friend of Boris Spassky, the photographer met Bobby Fischer several times through him, notably during the “return match” in Yugoslavia in 1992. Two autographs from the legendary American champion accompany the collection, which is presented in an elegant archive box.
