(Center, Commission on Chess Composition). 10,200 copies. An essay on the history of the two-move problem in the USSR over the past 20 years with a description of the work of Soviet composers. An analysis is given of the position of the two-move problem abroad, and the influence of the ideas of Soviet problemists is shown. Over 400 problems by Soviet and foreign authors are included. In the appendices: "Fundamentals of the classification of ideas of the new-American school" (with a diagram), a table of competitive achievements of two-move compilers, an index of problems by topic, a list of Soviet problemists and an index of problems by author, an index of problems by foreign authors.
