The publication consisted of six issues, released between September 21 and October 19, 1946, totaling 48 pages. It featured tournament reports, a few annotated games, and 5 problems.
Wolfgang Unzicker, a rising star in post-war German chess, took first place. Elmars Zemgalis, a Latvian émigré, finished second. Other notable participants included Friedrich Sämisch, Povilas Tautvaisas, and Lucius Endzelins.
This tournament was one of the first major international chess events in Germany after World War II, symbolizing a cultural revival through intellectual competition.
