Description

Nine vintage "CHESS, Sutton Coldfield" magazines for Vol 14 (part 1948 and part 1949). They are Issue Numbers 158-168, inclusive (#168 was a "Triple Issue").  These magazines are in Fair condition and are suitable as reading copies only. Most of the staples have rusted but not bled. Please be aware that one of these magazines (#159) is in quite a fragile state and its covers look to be about to become detached from their staples. There are postal numbers in pencil on the rear of some issues but, internally, they all appear to be clean and inscription and annotation free. PLEASE NOTE: All the covers have quite heavy dust staining and age-related scuffing (see scans) plus some creasing. AS A BONUS, Issue Numbers #165 and #166-8 have the first 40 pages between them of the great Groningen, 1946 tournament supplement. Packed full of contemporary reporting from the latest tournaments of the day! Games are given in English descriptive notation. Any questions, please just ask.

PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOW BASED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND AND, THEREFORE, ALL SALES TO EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS (APART FROM GB) WILL BE IN EUROS AND SHIPPED DIRECT EU - EU (VIA 'AN POST', THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND POSTAL SERVICE, THEREBY AVOIDING ANY 'BREXIT' POSTAL TAXES). CUSTOMERS IN THE GB AREA CAN STILL AVAIL OF SHIPPING DIRECT GB - GB AS I CAN SHIP (VIA 'ROYAL MAIL') FROM NORTHERN IRELAND, ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT DELAY IN POSTING. CUSTOMERS IN THE USA AND THE RoW WILL HAVE THEIR ORDER SHIPPED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (VIA 'AN POST', AS ABOVE).
