Description

Eleven vintage "CHESS, Sutton Coldfield" magazines for Vol 17 (1952) and Vol 19 (1954). They are Issue Numbers 197, 199, 201 and 203 (Vol 17) and Issue Numbers 220, 221, 223, 225, 226, 227 and 228 (Vol 19). These magazines are in Fair condition and are suitable as reading copies only. Most of the staples have rusted but not bled. There are postal numbers in pencil on the rear of some issues but, internally, they all appear to be clean and inscription and annotation free. PLEASE NOTE: All the covers have dust staining and age-related scuffing (see scans) plus some vertical creases and small dried liquid staining. AS A BONUS, all the Vol 19 issues have a supplement stapled in the middle of each magazine which I assume to be the Zurich 1953 Candidates tournament. Packed full of contemporary reporting from the latest tournaments of the day! Games are given in English descriptive notation. Any questions, please just ask.

PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOW BASED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND AND, THEREFORE, ALL SALES TO EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS (APART FROM GB) WILL BE IN EUROS AND SHIPPED DIRECT EU - EU (THUS AVOIDING ANY BREXIT POSTAL TAXES). CUSTOMERS IN THE GB AREA CAN STILL AVAIL OF SHIPPING DIRECT GB - GB AS I CAN SHIP FROM NORTHERN IRELAND, ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT DELAY IN POSTING. CUSTOMERS IN THE USA AND THE RoW WILL HAVE THEIR ORDER SHIPPED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND.
