"CHESS, Sutton Coldfield. Volume 35". Bound in publisher's brown hardback. All magazines for Volume 35 (Sept 1969 - Aug 1970, Magazine Numbers 587 to 610, inclusive). 376pp + 32pp. As a bonus, issue number 611-612 has been bound in at the rear of the volume (an extra 32pp). Includes index. The volume is in Very Good condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The covers are very clean. The gilt lettering on the spine is still strong. There is a small contact indentation at the tip of the front board (see scan). Internally the volume is very clean and appears to be inscription and annotation free. Age-related tanning evident to internal pages and edge blocks. Free of foxing. Some evidence of a musty smell to the internal pages, suggesting poor storage in the past. Some people find this quaint and authentic while others find it a put off.
