"CHESS, Sutton Coldfield. Volume 36". Bound in publisher's brown hardback. All magazines for Volume 36 (Sept 1970 - Sept 1971, Magazine Numbers 611 to 634, inclusive). 388pp. Includes index. The volume is in Very Good condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no bowing present. The covers are very clean. The gilt lettering on the spine is still strong. There is a moderate shelf lean to the page edge blocks with resultant spine cocking (see scan). Internally the volume is very clean and appears to be inscription and annotation free. Age-related tanning evident to internal pages and edge blocks. Free of foxing. Some evidence of a mild musty smell to the internal pages, suggesting poor storage in the past. Some people find this quaint and authentic while others find it a put off. Games are in English descriptive notation. Much Fischer material in the run up to Reykjavik, 1972.
