Description

"The British Chess Magazine, 1949" published by Isaac Pitman in 1949. Bound in maroon hardback. 424pp. Volume 69. Includes index. The volume is in Good Plus condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no bowing or shelf lean present. The boards are clean although with noticeable sunning and discolouration to the spine area (resulting in the gilt lettering being worn away). The extremities of the maroon boards have faded slightly (see scans). The page edge blocks are age-browned. The internal pages are very clean and inscription free but heavily tanned due to the very inferior quality of paper available so soon after WW2. Free of foxing. Games are given in English descriptive notation. Condition Rating: 7/10. Any questions, please just ask.

PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOW BASED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND AND, THEREFORE, ALL SALES TO EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS (APART FROM GB) WILL BE IN EUROS AND SHIPPED DIRECT EU - EU (VIA 'AN POST', THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND POSTAL SERVICE, THEREBY AVOIDING ANY 'BREXIT' POSTAL TAXES). CUSTOMERS IN THE GB AREA CAN STILL AVAIL OF SHIPPING DIRECT GB - GB AS I CAN SHIP (VIA 'ROYAL MAIL') FROM NORTHERN IRELAND, ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT DELAY IN POSTING. CUSTOMERS IN THE USA AND THE RoW WILL HAVE THEIR ORDER SHIPPED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (VIA 'AN POST', AS ABOVE).
