Chess Amateur 1914, Vol. VIII – January (#88), pp. 97-120 + VIII pp. (Index vol. VII), February MISSING!!!, March till September (#90-96), pp. 149-372; Vol. IX, 1914 - October-December (#97-99), pp. 1-92; 1915 – January-February (#100-101), pp. 93-154, privately bound in uniformly blue hard covers, all covers preserved.

Condition: pages or covers may be a little stained, nearly loose between pages 256-257/#83 and almost loose before the back cover of this volume.  A small hole on page 51-52.
At the beginning and at the end of each number, there are 1-2 pages about "The Chess Amateur" Supplement Correspondence Play, numbered apart (pp. 13-16, 21-48 + pp. 1-16).

Not such a bad copy as is presented and please note that these magazines belonged to W. Pauly, since each first cover and at least one page inside are stamped “[Donaţia] W. PAULY / Martie 1934” (sometimes the stamp may be only partial). Also several annotations in pencil by Pauly (p. 45/Supplement of #96).

Wolfgang Pauly (1876 - 1934) was considered one of the greatest chess composers of the world ever (M. Niemeijer).
