Description

"The English Morphy? The Life and Games of Cecil de Vere, First British Chess Champion" by Owen Hindle and Bob Jones. Published in softback by Keverel Chess in 2001. 130pp. The book is in Very Good condition for its age. The covers are clean although sunned to the spine and extremities, including a small area of the front cover in the top left-hand corner (see scans). The page edge blocks are clean. Internally the book is in Very Good clean and unmarked condition. It feels unread. It is inscription, annotation and foxing free. I have refrained from taking any pictures of this book's interior in order not to bend the spine back, something which has not been done thus far. Games are given in figurine algebraic notation. Condition Rating: 8.5/10. Any questions, please just ask.

PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOW BASED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND AND, THEREFORE, ALL SALES TO EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS (APART FROM GB) WILL BE IN EUROS AND SHIPPED DIRECT EU - EU (VIA 'AN POST', THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND POSTAL SERVICE, THEREBY AVOIDING ANY 'BREXIT' POSTAL TAXES). CUSTOMERS IN THE GB AREA CAN STILL AVAIL OF SHIPPING DIRECT GB - GB AS I CAN SHIP (VIA 'ROYAL MAIL') FROM NORTHERN IRELAND, ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT DELAY IN POSTING. CUSTOMERS IN THE USA AND THE RoW WILL HAVE THEIR ORDER SHIPPED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND (VIA 'AN POST', AS ABOVE).
