"Keres' Best Games of Chess, 1931-40" by Fred Reinfeld. Published in hardback by George Bell in 1941. First Edition. 224pp. Betts 29-48. The book is in Good Plus condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The page edge blocks are tanned from age (the top edge darkened, as usual) and there is mild, sporadic foxing present that does not extend to the internal pages. The silver lettering on the spine is still strong. The boards are clean. Internally the book is in very good condition, clean and unmarked. The internal pages have tanned a little from age but are all very clean. There is a previous owner's signature in pen on the front endpaper. The book is annotation and foxing free. The - scarce - dustjacket is in Fair Plus condition. It has several depredations, as follows: 1. Very strong discolouration along the spine. 2. An area of superficial loss along the spine area from the word "Chess" to the word "Book" and another, smaller, area below that. 3. Sellotape repair along the entire length of the spine on both sides. 4. A small area of loss to the head of the spine. 5. Tiny chips and tears. 6. Age-tanning and mild foxing throughout. See scans. The dustjacket is now protected by a removable see-through. Games are given in English descriptive notation. Condition Rating: Book: 7.5/10. Dustjacket: 4/10. Any questions, please just ask.
