"My Fifty Years of Chess" by Frank Marshall. Published in hardback by George Bell in 1942. First UK Edition. 242pp. Betts: 29-72. The book is in Very Good condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The page edge blocks are tanned from age (the top edge darkened, as usual). The gilt lettering on the spine and front board has faded but is still readable. The boards are very clean. Internally the book is in very good condition, clean and unmarked. The internal pages have tanned a little from age but are all very clean. The book is inscription, annotation and foxing free. The - scarce - dustjacket is in Good condition. It has some depredations, as follows: 1. Very strong discolouration along the spine with black staining to the left of the author's name. 2. An area of loss to the head of the spine.  3. Miniscule loss to the tail of the spine. 4. A tiny puncture hole on the spine, near the knight emblem. 5. Tiny chips and tears. 6. Age-tanning throughout. See scans. The dustjacket is now protected by a removable see-through. Games are given in English descriptive notation. Condition Rating: Book: 8/10. DW: 6/10. Any questions, please just ask.
