"Chess and Chessmasters" by Gideon Ståhlberg. Published in hardback by George Bell in 1955. First UK Edition. 130pp. Betts 28-17. The book is in Very Good condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no bowing present. There is, however, a mild shelf lean. The page edge blocks are tanned from age (the top edge darkened, as usual). The black lettering on the spine is still strong. The boards are very clean. Internally the book is in very good condition, clean and unmarked. The internal pages have tanned a little from age but are all very clean. There is a gift inscription in pen on the front endpaper. The book is annotation and foxing free. The dustjacket is in Good Plus condition. It is complete and suffers only from discolouration to the spine area and age-tanning to all extremities. There is a very small hole in the spine and minuscule loss to the head of the spine. See scans. The dustjacket is now protected by a removable see-through.
