Description

Il Problema magazine, Italy.

Anno I, 1931, #1/vii, pag. 1-16, the other 1931 numbers are missing!

Anno II, 1932, #1/i, #2/ii, #3/iii, #4 is missing!, #5/v, #6/vi, #7/vii, #8-9/viii-ix, #10/x, #11/xi, #12/xii, pag. 105-156 & 173-292.

Anno III, 1933, #1/i, #2/ii, #3/iii, #4/iv, #5-6/v-vi, #7/vii, #8/viii, #9-10-11/ix-x-xi, #12/xii, pag. 1-168.

Anno IV, 1934, #1/i, pag. 1-16.

Condition: The magazines were bound in hard covers, but the front hard cover and the spine are missing! All the numbers have the covers, as well as the adjacent pages, which are not numbered. Several times stamped "Donatia W. PAULY, Martie 1934", which proves that this collection was part of the library of Wolfgang Pauly, one of the greatest chess problem composers of all time. Many annotations, most in pencil. Pages yellowed and sometimes may be dust (or possible water!?) stained, but all of these are not affecting the text. The text is a little affected in some damaged pages (but these were initially wrongly printed): pages 123, 126, 127, 146 of #9-10-11/1933 and before the page 153 of #12/1933. The last cover of #1/1932 is detached.

Not such a bad copy as objectively presented, but this is more a must or a "tool" for a problemist, than a collectable item!

Netto weight: 0,945 kg. Shipping cost will be added. Combined shipping accepted.
