The 1963 Havana Chess Tournament, also known as the 2nd Capablanca Memorial, was held in Havana, Cuba, to honor former world champion José Raúl Capablanca. It featured many of the world’s top players at the time, including Viktor Korchnoi, Mikhail Tal, Efim Geller, and Luděk Pachman. Korchnoi emerged as the tournament winner, while Tal, Geller, and Pachman finished just behind him. The event further established the Capablanca Memorial as a prestigious international chess competition.
