The Seventh American Chess Congress was held in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1904, alongside the World’s Fair. It brought together many of the strongest American and international players of the time. Frank Marshall won the tournament convincingly, establishing himself as the leading U.S. player of the era. The event was notable for its high level of competition and for helping to revive major chess tournaments in the United States after a long hiatus.
