London, 1880/81. Contemporary halfcloth, spine lettered. IV (=title, index) + 380 pages. Size ca 23.5 cm. The weight 880 grams. LN 6138, Betts 7-25. In English. Code 11532.
Fair to good: edges and corners a little rubbed. Covers stained/soiled. The name or stamp of the previous owner is whitened on the inner cover. The endpapers are somewhat stained. In text clean, sporadically small pencil or crayon marks.
Complete volume 2, numbers 1-12, including title/index. No plates were published in this volume. Covers are not bound in.
The Chess Monthly was published in London between 1879 and 1896 by Leopold Hoffer, together with J. H. Zukertort until 1888.
The magazine was checked page by page.
