Praha, Simacek, 1909. Orig. softcover. 1st edition, 2nd printing. Frontispiece (O. Duras), 180, (2), (2 ads.) pages + 2 plates (photo from Prague 1908 + photo Lasker-Tarrasch). 240 grams. Published 1,000 copies. Size ca 21.5 cm. Czech. LN (1246). Soukup 130. Mokry 23.
Fair: cover is somewhat faded and detached from the book-block (could be repaired). The first leaf is a little soiled. The tissue guard covering the plates is somewhat stained. Occasional notes in old pencil on the first pages.
The first edition was published in three printings - all dated 1909, the only difference is a note Prvni tisic = First Thousand, Druhy tisic = Second Thousand, or Treti tisic = Third Thousand on the verso of the title page.
This book is the Second printing of the 1st edition, marked as Druhy tisic.
