Description

The book recounts Walter Muir’s life through the lens of his long association with chess. Rather than being a typical game collection or instructional manual, it blends personal biography with chess history, intertwining Muir’s life experiences with developments in the chess world across much of the 20th century.

Walter Muir (1905–1999) was an American correspondence chess player and highly respected figure in both U.S. and international chess circles. He played correspondence chess from the mid-1920s until shortly before his death — a span of about 75 years earning him the book’s title.

Condition: Publishers original paperback. VG. With a dedication from the author.
