The volumes 1894–1897, published in a larger newspaper format, are the rarest years of the magazine and are missing, for instance, from the world's largest chess collection at the Cleveland Public Library.
Condition - Generally Good: private brown binding with gilt lettering on spine. The pages were horizontally folded in half for mailing, as is typical for this newspaper format. Several leaves soiled. A few minor tears at the edges. Occasional ownership stamps on the first pages of individual issues.
