In 1927, the magazine changed its name, and the numbering of volumes started from one. However, it was a continuation of Casopis ceskoslovenskych sachistu, so in reality, it is the 22nd volume. The volume numbering was finally standardized only in 1946.
Ceskoslovensky sach is the primary Czech chess magazine published continuously since 1906. The title changed over time mainly for political reasons: Casopis ceskych sachistu (1906–1919), Casopis ceskoslovenskych sachistu (1920–1926), Ceskoslovensky sach (1927–1938 and 1946–present), and Sach (1939–1945).
The front cover of issue no. 7 is signed at the top by the Czech chess master Frantisek Treybal (1882–1947).
Condition - Good or better: elegant private half-leather binding with gilt lettering on spine. Occasional minor soiling and creases. Several markings (likely removable) on pages 166 and 170.
