Description

Ceskoslovensky sach 1930. Oficialni organ Ustredni jednoty ceskoslovenskych sachistu. Praha. Editors: F. Dedrle, O. Duras, M. Havel, L. Knotek, J. Louma, V. Mrazik, A. Pokorny, R. Prochazka, J. Rejfir. Monthly. In Czech. Title page, index, 200 pages. Issues 1-12 (6/7 and 8/9 are double issues). Volume 4 (24). Covers not bound. LN 5985. Soukup 6. Mokry 239. Di Felice 471.

In 1927, the magazine changed its name, and the numbering of volumes started from one. However, it was a continuation of Casopis ceskoslovenskych sachistu, so in reality, it is the 22nd volume. The volume numbering was finally standardized only in 1946.

Ceskoslovensky sach is the primary Czech chess magazine published continuously since 1906. The title changed over time mainly for political reasons: Casopis ceskych sachistu (1906–1919), Casopis ceskoslovenskych sachistu (1920–1926), Ceskoslovensky sach (1927–1938 and 1946–present), and Sach (1939–1945).

Condition - Generally good: private half-cloth binding with lettering on spine. Handwritten note on page 37. Several pages with minor stains (notably pages 61, 129–131). At the end, several pages from the 1907–1908 and 1913 volumes are somewhat illogically bound in.
