Description

Due Alfieri 1980. Bimonthly. In Italian. Reggio Emilia, 1974. Editor: Alessandro Benati. Issues 1-6 (10-15). Index (2 leaves), 272 pages (slightly fewer in reality). Volume 3. All covers bound in (included in the pagination). Sanvito 883. New Sanvito 3077. Di Felice 823.

The pagination includes both covers and advertisements. Starting with the second issue of this volume (No. 10, March–April), the separate advertisement leaves were not bound in, even though they were included in the page numbering. As a result, some pages may appear to be missing, but in reality, only advertisements are absent. The chess text is complete.

Due Alfieri was an Italian chess magazine published by the 'A. Gramsci' club in Reggio Emilia. It first appeared in April 1974 as a supplement to the journal 'Cronaca Viva'. After a period of irregular publication (1974–1977), it was transformed in March 1978 into a fully independent chess magazine (a new series under the editorship of A. Benati). It was initially published as a bimonthly, later becoming a monthly, and continued until 1986 (volume IX of the new series).

Condition - Good to Very Good: elegant private full cloth binding with ornaments and a plastic title label on the spine, including a ribbon bookmark. On the first page of the index, the misprinted number 16 has been manually corrected to 15.
