2 carbon copies of scoresheets in his hand

From the international tournament Brno 1937

Hostinsky-Koblencs. The scoresheet is from October 19. The game was played in the 3rd round. It is written in Hostinsky's hand, it is not signed. Size 21 x 15 cm.

Good: some signs of use, 2x centre fold. Moves 35-40 are missing in the scoresheet.

Draw in 51 moves. The game can be found in the tournament book on pages 26-27 (Barta: Mezinarodni sachovy turnaj v Brne 1937. Brno, 1937, LN 5551)

Hostinsky-Koska. The scoresheet is from October 21. The game was played in the 5th round. It is written in Hostinsky's hand, signed (also through carbon) by both players. Size 23.5 x 15.5 cm.

Good: some signs of use, 2x centre fold. 

Draw in 82 moves. The game can be found in the tournament book on pages 37-38, but only 55 moves (Barta: Mezinarodni sachovy turnaj v Brne 1937. Brno, 1937, LN 5551)

Biographical data:

Zdenek Hostinsky (1914-1986), strong Brno chess player. He took part in the final of Czechoslovak championship in 1955.

Alexander Koblencs (Koblenc, Koblents, 1916-1993). one of the best Latvian players in the 20th century. He won 4x Latvian championship in 1940s, international tournament in Brno 1937 etc. Trainer of Mikhail Tal.

Josef Koska (1910-1988(?)), strong Brno chess player. He took part in the final of Czechoslovak championship in 1957.
