Five caricatures from the tournament in Copenhagen 1923 by the prominent Politiken newspaper cartoonist Valdemar Møller. The ‘VM’ monogram corresponds to Møller, who often used a stylized signature. He served as a staff cartoonist at Politiken from 1920 to 1947, and the clean, economical line and profile caricatures are characteristic of his work.
The following caricatures are available:
1) Tartakower. On rear page, Sämisch.
2) Spielmann. Rear side blank.
3) Egil Jakobsen. Rear page, Ove Rützou (arbiter).
All caricatures are original, unique items, and were published in Politikens daily coverage from the tournament. 27*18 cm.
