Original photo of the Ukrainian chess composer Evgeny Sorokin with a handwritten chess problem and diagram on the reverse. The photo is dated 27 February 1970. The problem was composed jointly with the Greek chess composer Pavlos Moutecidis. The manuscript on the reverse is in Sorokin’s hand and signed by him. Size: 13.5 × 7.7 cm.
Evgeny Pavlovich Sorokin (1933–2000) was a Ukrainian chess composer. From 1967 onwards he published more than 2,000 chess compositions in various genres. Sorokin frequently collaborated with other composers, most notably Pavlos Moutecidis. By profession he was a mechanical engineer. (source)
