The boards are very clean and the gilt lettering is still strong. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The page edge blocks are affected by moderate foxing (see scans) but this does not affect any of the book text. Internally the book is inscription, annotation and foxing free. The internal pages are all very clean and presentable. Published without a dustjacket. Games and positions are given in algebraic notation. A sought after chess title.
