"The British Chess Magazine, 1909 (Vol 29)" published in maroon hardback by Trubner & Co in 1909. First Edition. 568pp. Includes title page and Index. Betts 7-27. The volume is in near Very Good condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The boards are clean. The gilt lettering on the spine has faded away but can still be read "in the light". The page edge blocks are a reddish hue, which I'm unsure if this has always been the case or if the edge blocks have tanned to this colour (see scan). Internally the volume presents very well for a 117 year old book. The volume is very clean and practically unmarked/undamaged throughout (an ink spot on an early page in the text and a little spine webbing visible on an index page. See last scan). The internal pages appear to be inscription, annotation and foxing free. The pages are lightly but evenly age-tanned. Games are given in English descriptive notation. A very nice BCM volume for any discerning chess library. Volume Condition: 7/10. Further scanned images are available on request. Postage extra, from either the Republic of Ireland (via 'An Post') or from Northern Ireland (via 'Royal Mail'). Any questions, please just ask.
