Sergiev, Stefan. Balgariya na shakhmatnite olimpiadi. Tom 1. 1936–1974. Sofiya, Zvezdi, 2009. In Bulgarian. 720 pages. Original softcover.
Bulgaria at the Chess Olympiads 1936–1974. Volume 1. The book provides a detailed account of Bulgaria’s participation in the Chess Olympiads, starting with the Tournament of Nations in Munich 1936 and the Olympiad in Buenos Aires 1939, and continuing - after World War II - from the 1954 Olympiad in Amsterdam through to the 1974 Olympiad in Nice. The author succeeded in collecting all games played by Bulgarian players, with only one exception (Sorensen – Toshev, Munich 1936). Many of the games are accompanied by contemporary commentary. The book also contains a wealth of photographs, many of them likely previously unpublished.
