Description

International Chess was a short-lived periodical issued by Master Chess Publications, of which only two numbers appeared in early 1979. The second issue identifies H. C. Thomas as editor, with contributions from several prominent English chess players. Conceived as a publication centered on major international tournaments, its release schedule was intended to be irregular and dependent upon significant competitive events.

Issue no. 1 comprised 36 pages of annotated games and analytical commentary by Jonathan Speelman and Shaun Taulbut, covering the 54th Hastings International Chess Congress (28 December 1978–14 January 1979). Issue no. 2 contained a 37-page analytical study by Raymond Keene and Jonathan Speelman, with assistance from Andrew Whiteley, devoted to the East European Zonal Tournament, held in Warsaw from 6–30 January 1979.

Condition: Some usage. Some folds and minor dog ears.
