Description

Verlag Von Veit &Comp., Leipzig, 1909, 2nd edition, in German language, hardback, viii+532 pp, 474 diagrams, 985 grams. Condition: fair, clean, without notes or underlining.

Siegbert Tarrasch was one of the strongest players in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Known as praeceptor mundi ("teacher of the world"), his writing elegantly merged the attacking style of Paul Morphy with the positional school of Wilhelm Steinitz.

The book contains 300 of his own highly instructional games. He annotates them with clear, logical explanations. It serves as an excellent middle-game and endgame treatise.
