Svein Johannessen [17.10 1937 - 27.11 2007] was Norway's best chessplayer before Simen Agdestein and Magnus Carlsen. The book follows the story about the boy from Mjøndalen who early made him known for his chess talent and met many of the foremost players of the world in duels on the chessboard. The book contains 162 exciting and instructive games against great chess stars as Tal, Smyslov, Keres, Petrosian, Spassky, Fischer, Larsen, Ståhlberg and many others. Svin Johannessen was also a gentleman of chess and got importance as a predecessor and inspirator for new generations in norwegian chess.
