LE LIONNAIS F. - Le jardin des échecs, issued in Les Cahiers de l’Échiquier Français series, Paris 1936, 144 pp. + several pages miscellaneous information.
Condition: acceptable, spine is damaged, most part is missing, pages nearly loose, so they were bound in a (detachable) plastic tape. Quite many underline in color pencil or small annotations in pencil, but without affecting the text at all. Please note a major defect: pages 49-64 are MISSING - It was original bound in this way!!
Stamped on front cover “Amis d’Action. Secretariat general”. On the first page. there is again the stamp “Amis d’Action. Secretariat general”, a dedication signed by Andre CHERON: “Avec les remerciements d’Action pour vos inedits”, a dedication signed by Tivadar KARDOS: “Für besten Löser, Mit herzlichen Grüssen”, and the stamp with Kordos' address: “T. Kardos; Budapest, XII., Németvölgyi-út 16. II. 4.; (Hungary)”.
Despite the defects, a valuable piece due to the interesting signatures!
