A very fine postcard sent by Alexandre Alekhine to André Voisin from the Ritz Hotel in Barcelona. After a tour of North Africa and Malta, Alekhine began a new series of exhibitions in Spain. Arriving in Barcelona on January 19, 1935, with his wife, he gave his first performance in the Catalan capital five days later, facing Rafael Llorens and Francisco Carreras, whom he brilliantly defeated.
