Wiener Schachverlag, Wien, 1957, booklet -as a magazine-,16,2x23 cm, soft cover, covers+56 pages, some photos, reports, 120 games -some annotated by the GM Vasja Pirc, Ljubljana-, many diagrams, tables of results. Condition: fair, with some wear on the spine and upper left corner (see photo).
The first European national teams Championship was held in Vienna and Baden bei Wien in 1957 (August, 22-28). It was a double round robin and notable for the surprise victory of the Yugoslav team over the mighty Soviet team in their second encounter. The Soviet Union took the gold, Yugoslavia the silver and the bronze went to Czech Republic.
