Luxury edition on high-quality coated paper. These editions were published only in the early years of the magazine, likely only in volumes 3, 4 and 5. The 3rd volume of the magazine was published from June 1908 to May 1909. Pages 15 and 76 feature fine group photographs from the 1908 international tournament in Prague, reproduced much more sharply on the high-quality paper than in the standard edition.
Casopis ceskych sachistu (The Magazine of Czech Chess Players) was founded in 1906 and remains the main Czech chess journal. Throughout its history, its title changed mainly for political reasons: Casopis ceskych sachistu (1906-1919), Casopis ceskoslovenskych sachistu (1920-1926), Ceskoslovensky sach (1927-1938; 1946-present), and Sach (1939-1945).
Condition - Good to Very Good: Private half-cloth binding with a label on the front cover. Traces of glue along the inner margins of the blank leaf preceding the title page and the title page itself. Page 192 slightly soiled.
