Description

Ceskoslovensky sach 1936. Oficialni organ Ustredni jednoty ceskoslovenskych sachistu. Praha. Monthly. In Czech. Editors: K. Zmatlik, J. Louma, L. Prokes, M. Soukup, V. Mrazik. Title page, index, 188 pages. Issues 1-12 (2/3, 6/7, 8/9 and 10/11 are double issues). Volume 30 (10). All covers bound in. LN 5985. Soukup 6. Mokry 239. Di Felice 471.

In 1927, the magazine changed its name, and the volume numbering restarted at 1. However, it was a continuation of Casopis ceskoslovenskych sachistu, so it is in fact the 30th annual volume. The volume numbering was finally standardized only in 1946.

Ceskoslovensky sach is the main Czech chess magazine published continuously since 1906. The title changed over time mainly for political reasons: Casopis ceskych sachistu (1906–1919), Casopis ceskoslovenskych sachistu (1920–1926), Ceskoslovensky sach (1927–1938 and 1946–present), and Sach (1939–1945).

Condition - Good: Elegant half-cloth binding with gilt lettering on the spine. Closely trimmed at the top, but the text is not affected, except on pages 1 and 2, where the trimming slightly cuts into the text, which nevertheless remains fully legible. Pencil check marks next to the numbers of most games. Small notes on pages 15, 132 and 133. Several issues lightly folded vertically down the center.
